 Flyfishing Ranch Highlights
Famous For:
We are one of Idaho's finest fishing lodges. The response to the Lodge from our guests has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic and very gratifying to us. The Lodge was named worldwide Fishing Lodge of the Year for 1995 by the highly respected Hideaway Report. We're also pleased with the outstanding reviews we've received from such diverse publications as Travel & Leisure, Bon Apptit, Flyfisherman, Fly Rod & Reel, Sunset, the San Francisco Examiner, Interior Design, Forbes FYI, the London Daily Telegraph and on ESPN.
Capacity:
28
Open:
The Lodge opens up around Memorial Day and takes in guests until Mid October. As a general guide to the season, Memorial Day through July 15 is prime time for the Henry's Fork, Firehole and Madison in the Park and is the season of the famous hatches-green drake, brown drake, gray drake and salmonfly-and the most anglers. July 15 to September 15 is prime time for the lower Madison, the Yellowstone, Lamar and Slough Creek in the Park and most of the lakes. September 15 to the end of October is the time all the waters become good, the crowds go home, the wildlife gathers, but the weather is cooler.
Location:
Anglers worldwide have called the Henry's Fork the finest dry fly stream in the world. In addition to the Henry's Fork, our area boasts an honor roll of great flyfishing rivers including the Madison, Gallatin, Yellowstone, Firehole, South Fork of the Snake and many others. Our area has the greatest variety of outstanding flyfishing waters in the country.

Variety means fishing that will entertain and reward the brand new flyfisher as well as waters that will challenge the most sophisticated expert. Variety also means that the question of when to come has many good answers. Some of our streams will be at their best whenever you choose to come, and you can expect good weather and water conditions from May to October.

Fishing :
We built Henry's Fork Lodge at the heart of the country's finest flyfishing because we are serious about flyfishing. Our rivers contain only wild fish - no hatchery stockers here - making every outing a genuine flyfishing experience.

Anglers worldwide have called the Henry's Fork the finest dry fly stream in the world. Variety also means that the question of when to come has many good answers. Some of our streams will be at their best whenever you choose to come, and you can expect good weather and water conditions from May to October.

You will be assisted by some of the finest guides in the West. They know the fishing, and they take great pride and pleasure in teaching you the skills to master it. They will help you enjoy the fishing and appreciate the magnificent surroundings. At the end of your trip you will probably have some new friends.

The flyfishing is legendary at Henry's Fork Lodge, but there are many other things to see and do in the area.

Some of the world's most magnificent natural attractions and recreational opportunities are at our doorstep.

Hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, horseback riding, golf and tennis are close by, and the lodge is an ideal headquarters for touring Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.

We've designed our Lodge to be as comfortable and enjoyable for non-fishers, as for anglers. We will be delighted to arrange activities for you or your group.
Lodging:
Henry's Fork Lodge was designed by award-winning architect Joseph Esherick. Mountain buildings were one of his specialties, and because he was also an avid flyfisherman, he built in all the special features that anglers require. The Lodge was nominated for national architecture awards for its distinctive combination of elegance and comfort.

We have six units in the main lodge, including two deluxe suites with fireplace and big views of the Henry's Fork, one with separate bedroom and living room. Our eight cottage suites all have private bedrooms and sitting rooms with fireplaces. The Lodge's decor is highly distinctive featuring wood panelling, antique furniture and oriental carpets.
Food/Dining:
Dining is a sublime experience at Henry's Fork Lodge.
Whether it's a hearty breakfast, a gourmet picnic lunch, or an elegant dinner, our restaurant has gained a reputation for having the finest cuisine in the Yellowstone area.
Our chef, Roland Bitterer, trained in Europe. He brings together the freshest ingredients with the finest in continental tradition. The result is meals that satisfy your appetite and please the most discriminating palate.
Our menu changes daily and offers a wide selection. And we adjust meal times to "match the hatch," so you never have to choose between dinner and the evening rise.
