Waters:
Pit River: Tailwater canyon fishery of pocket water and pools that reward the ambitious and adventurous. Wading is difficult, but this makes for low crowds and high catch-rates.

Hat Creek: Clear, weedy, and chalkstream-like with also some riffles and runs. This creek hosts an abundant and diverse insect population. It contains only wild trout and in high numbers.

Fall River: Fished from aluminum prams with motors. This is a flatwater stream with wild rainbows and extensive insect life. Notable hatches include #22 trico spinners and the giant Hexagenia mayfly.

McCloud River: Tailwater fishery with bouldery pocket water and pools. The wading is considered challenging. There is a run of spawning browns from Lake Shasta in the fall.

Upper Sacramento River: Fifty miles of pools, pockets, and runs with no-kill regulations, surrounded by forested hills and canyon walls.

Fall River Valley Stillwaters: these spring-fed, gin-clear waters are fished with a bass boat and hold wary large trout.

Burney Creek: 2-mile long spring creek containing rainbows and browns.

Lower Sacramento: Big water, mostly nymphed for large rainbows but there can be excellent dry fly fishing during prolific caddis hatches.
