The Laramie River Dude Ranch has fly fishing and spin-casting opportunities for anglers of all abilities. Guests have private access to over two miles of the Big Laramie River and a mile of LaGarde Creek. There is also public fishing access to the Hohnholz Lakes nearby.

| Capacity: | Laramie River Ranch is one of Colorado's smallest dude ranches with a typical capacity of only 25 guests. As most guests come for the horseback riding, anglers will find they have lots of water to find a quiet private stretch to fish in peace. |

| Fly Fishing: | The Big Laramie winds down through forests and large ranches before reaching our spread. Fed by high mountain lakes and numerous creeks, the river has grown to a respectable size for wading and bank fishing. Its pools provide great fishing throughout the season. Experienced fishermen will enjoy matching wits with our population of wild brown trout or the occasional rainbow. We encourage catch and release, but will be happy to cook your catch to order if you like. The ranch compound sits in the middle of our property. Anglers can explore up or down river and always be within a mile of the lodge, a bottomless cookie jar, and a glass of lemonade. More adventuresome anglers can explore the many beaver ponds and running sections of LaGarde Creek which flows out of the Rawah Wilderness into the ranch. The creek experiences very little pressure as its entire length is fished by just a few fishermen a year. Bring your camera, because the views in the valley are breathtaking. The nearby Hohnholz Lakes provides the opportunity to fish for cutthroat, rainbow, brown, and cutbow. While serious anglers will want to bring their own equipment, we do have equipment that guests can borrow free of charge. Spring runoff is a reality of life here in the mountains. During the first two to three weeks of June our streams and rivers swell and the fishing becomes poor. Fishing at the Hohnholz lakes is unaffected. |
| Transportation: | LRR provide free transportation to and from the airport in Laramie, Wyoming. Guest flying into Denver will need to arrange van transportation or a rental car to get to the ranch. |

| Lodging: | Comfy cabins are located on the banks of the Laramie River and LaGarde Creek. Hand hewn logs, private screened porches, and modern accommodations await. The only sound that may interrupt the gurgle of the river would be the sound of horses being wrangled from pastures beyond. Our historic lodge has seven guest rooms equipped with modern amenities and handicapped accessibility. Screened and open porches provide the perfect spot for a morning cup of ranch coffee. Or site in front of the fireplace which dates to the 1890s for a warm and relaxing conversation with new friends. |
