Numerous natural lakes and streams abound and are accessible on foot, or horseback. Overnight pack trips featuring fishing in the back country/wilderness are available for an extra fee. Brooks offers fine dining with a regional flare, wonderful accommodations, attentive staff, summer and winter activities and spa. Located in the Shoshone National Forest, this resort is a wonderful escape from the city and crowds.

| Fly Fishing: | Crystal clear high-mountain lakes, spring fed streams and rivers full of Brook, Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout. Canoes are at your disposal for Brooks Lake fishing, which is located directly below the lodge. Try an all-day trail ride to our hidden lakes. A horse and professional guide will deliver you to breathtaking lakes and rivers and supply you with a pack lunch. If you don't feel like leaving the property, Brooks Lake has recently added a 1 acre casting pond for you to practice your casting technique right outside of your cabin door. We can provide fly and spin rods, in addition to pack versions of both or bring your own. Licenses and fishing gear can be purchased at the fishing lodge. |
| Transportation: | The area is served by major airlines to the Jackson Hole, Riverton and Idaho Falls airports. If driving to the lodge from Jackson Hole, proceed north on Rt. 191/26/89; at Moran, turn east on Rt. 26/287. If driving to the lodge from Dubois, Lander or Riverton, follow Rt. 26/287 west. From both East and West there is a USFS Recreational Area sign for Brooks Lake. There you will turn onto Brooks Lake Road. The lodge is 5 miles away. *If you are planning a vacation during the winter season, please pre-arrange your arrival information at booking. The lodge will pick you up by snowmobile on the highway and transport you the 5 miles. |

A children's coordinator can take your kids on a half or full day trail walk to learn about plants, bugs and wildlife and, most importantly, have fun! With horseback riding, canoe trips, fishing lessons and arts and crafts, your children will never have a dull moment. After dinner, movies are played to help your adventurers unwind, or everyone can gather around a campfire under the starry sky and enjoy games, storytelling and treats. | Food/Dining: | Dining at Brooks Lake Lodge & Spa is an experience that rivals the setting. Breakfast is an assortment of fresh baked pastries, fruit, yogurt, granola, juices, teas and Starbucks coffee along with a selection of several hot dishes. Lunch can either be a gourmet boxed lunch for those out on the trail, or sit down in the dining room and dine on soups, salads, sandwiches, pasta or the chef’s special of the day and top it off with a cold beverage. For a bit of refinement and refreshment after a full day’s adventure, journey into the lodge for our afternoon tea service. Before dinner is served, guests are welcome to gather in the lounge area for a pre-dinner cocktail and a chance to recap the day’s events with old friends, and new ones. Dinner is served at 7:00 pm in the winter and 7:30 pm in the summer. The china is placed, candles are lit, the fire is softly crackling as a soft aroma of the evening’s cuisine escapes from the kitchen to tempt and tease. Our dinner menu changes each evening as our chefs prepare a three course meal using the freshest ingredients, regional flare and a creative touch that has our guests delighting in the evening meal and eagerly anticipating the next evening’s offerings. After dinner, our pastry chef offers up the evening’s delectable treat that is always enjoyed by all. Many evenings our guests sit fireside to enjoy their dessert while being entertained by local performers. Afterwards, enjoy a night cap in the Diamond G Bar as you challenge someone to a friendly game of darts, shuffleboard or fuss ball. Take a moonlit stroll as you head back to your cabin to retire for the evening. |
